If I Had to Start Over as a Business Coach
If I had to start over as a business coach, I wouldn’t do it alone.
Why? Because what I get to do today—helping business owners grow, watching them break through barriers, and exercising my God-given calling to serve them—took years of trial and error to figure out. If I could go back, I would choose the faster, clearer path so I could step into that purpose sooner.
I would get help and follow a guided, step-by-step framework so I knew exactly what to do first, second, and third—and so I could focus on the one thing that actually matters: creating predictable income quickly.
Here’s what that framework would look like:
Step 1 — Clarify Your Offer and Positioning
Decide exactly who you serve, the specific problem you solve, and the promise you can confidently stand behind. When this is clear, conversations become easier, your value is obvious, and your ability to charge what you’re worth increases.
Step 2 — Install a Simple Client-Getting System
Have a reliable process that brings leads in, books calls, and follows up automatically. You don’t need to be an influencer or spend all day on social media—you just need a repeatable system that keeps your calendar full of the right people.
Step 3 — Deliver with a Signature Program
Create a structured program with clear onboarding, a consistent session rhythm, and a roadmap for outcomes. This ensures your clients get results, refer others, and build your reputation as a trusted coach.
The truth is, most new coaches waste months—sometimes years—figuring out these three steps through trial and error. And in the process, they burn through time, money, and momentum.
Starting strong doesn’t mean doing everything yourself. It means following a path that’s already been proven so you can spend more time in your purpose, serving clients, and living the life you envisioned when you first felt called to coach.
If you’ve been thinking about starting your coaching practice, focus on these three steps. Nail them, and you’ll not only grow a profitable business—you’ll do it in a way that honors your calling and gives you the freedom you’re looking for.
